Was Marketing mit Verkauf zu tun hat
Für viele Unternehmer ist vollkommen klar, was ein Verkäufer für sie tun kann. Was aber Marketing in diesem Zusammenhang für sie zuwege bringen kann ist nicht auf den ersten Blick verständlich.

Während der Verkäufer am besten eingesetzt wird um die Arbeit ab dem Scheitelpunkt zu übernehmen (ab da hilft ihm dann die Gravitation), sollte das Marketing den „schwierigen Teil“ übernehmen und Ihren potenziellen Kunden genug Vertrauen vermitteln, damit sie bereit werden, Ihre Verkäufer als willkommene Berater zu akzeptieren.

Immer wieder kommt es vor, dass wir gefragt werden, was ist eigentlich der Unterschied zwischen Verkauf und Marketing? Oder wo sollte man Verkäufer einsetzen und wo sollte man Marketing einsetzen? Ich erkläre das jetzt kurz in einem ganz einfachen Beispiel.
Man kann sich das so vorstellen: Stellen Sie sich einen Berg vor. Auf der einen Seite ist der kalte Interessent und auf der anderen Seite, ist der kaufbereite Kunde. Für einen kalten Interessenten sind Sie, wenn Sie einfach hingehen, der nervige Verkäufer.
Niemand will Sie sehen, das ist das typische Geschäft mit Cold Calls, wo keiner weiß, dass Sie anrufen werden.
Nach einer Aufwärmphase, auf der anderen Seite, wenn Sie über den Berg drüber sind, da sind Sie der willkommene Berater. Da ist ein Abschluss viel leichter zu erreichen. Es gibt auch viel weniger Widerstand, wenn es überhaupt welchen gibt.
Das Problem daran ist das Vertrauen dazwischen zu schaffen.
Ganz oben auf dem Berg gibt es einen Scheitelpunkt und vom Scheitelpunkt abwärts zu verkaufen geht natürlich leichter. Weil die Gravitation auf Ihrer Seite ist und die hilft Ihnen, näher zum Abschluss zu kommen. In diesem Bereich, also den Berg runter, sollte man Verkäufer einsetzen.
Aber in diesem schwierigen Bereich bis zur Bergspitze rauf, da sollten Sie Marketing einsetzen. Weil Marketing für Sie diesen schwierigen Teil erledigt und euch diese unangenehme Arbeit abnimmt, dass ihr mit Leuten reden müsst, die euch gar nicht anhören wollen.
Man sagt auch immer, Marketing leistet quasi die Vorarbeit zum Verkauf!
